Natural Makeup: How to Create the Look
The natural makeup look is the latest trend as many beauty bloggers and even celebrities are wearing them. This look gives a fresh, flawless look, but the best part is that, it looks like you are not wearing anything at all.
Steps to create the Natural Makeup Look
1. Maintain a good skin
Keeping up with a good and suitable skin care routine is essential not only for your skin but your makeup. This is because your skin is the foundation of your makeup. Having good skin condition will help your makeup to blend easier and stays on longer. Tips: Exfoliate the skin to remove all the dead skin and dirt from the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. Also, moisturise your skin before putting any makeup on. The moisturiser will act as a protective layer to prevent the makeup to clog up your pores.
2. Skip foundation
As we are creating this natural makeup look, skip foundation! Start with a clean face and use BB Cream, CC cream or even just sunscreen. These products have from sheer to light coverage for your skin and also acts as a sun protection for your skin with SPF.
3. Conceal away
Use concealer to conceal any imperfections, redness and also dark circles under your eyes. There’s also a trick for the natural makeup look which is to not use too much concealer. All you have to do is to take a little bit of the product on the imperfections and blend it by building up coverage in thin layers. Tip: If your skin gets oily, use a powder to absorb the oil on the skin.
4. Eyeshadow
To make your eyes look bright and wide awake, use a cream eyeshadow with the colour as close to your skin tone as possible. Blend the eyeshadow product from nearest to the lash line, fading upwards towards your brows. Also, eyeliner is an optional choice, but if you do want to use eyeliner, use a grey or brown colour eyeliner will be perfect for this natural makeup look.
5. Blush
To get a no makeup makeup look, use a cream blush instead of a powder blush. Choose warm colours likes pink and peaches. By using brushes or your finger by dabbing on the blush and blend it on the apples of your cheeks.
6. Don’t Forget to Highlight
Highlight your cheek bones and nose bridge and other areas where the light hits the face. You can use a cream highlight by using your hands or a brush to blend it out. Giving a natural glow look.
7. Brush out your Lashes and Brows
Curl your eyelashes and give them a couple thin coats of your favourite mascara. Then, brush over your brows and with a brow gel, it gives off the natural makeup look that you want.
8. Lip Balm
With the last step of this no makeup makeup look, it is to put some colour on your lip. Use a tinted lip balm for your lips after a gentle exfoliate on your lips. Find a shade of lip balm that you like and close to your natural lip colour.
